MAC Varicose Violet

This is a polish that I have great memories with. To start off with, it was my first MAC polish and I got it the day I visited my boyfriend in hospital after his operation. When I showed it to him, he said it was a nice colour and that made me really happy n_n

Varicose Violet was released with the Dame Edna collection earlier this year.

Varicose Violet is a light lavender frost with a blue duochrome.

I always thought it was a three coater, but I managed to get it under control in just two. Maybe its because my nails are shorter? Who knows :D

The application was really really nice. No where near as high maintenance as Peppermint Patti and Seasonal Peach. It was a big relief actually when I was putting this on hehe.

I'll tell you what, I am so over Winter. The sun is reappearing and disappearing every 3 seconds, and that's when its not heavy rain and close to zero degrees. Only two more months of it I guess... I am so excited for Spring! My nails will hopefully have some length to them and be a bit stronger and thicker, and the sunlight will be endless. So I can swatch a lot more often! n_n

Just a heads up; Head2ToeBeauty has now raised its Essie prices to $8US. And TransDesign and OPI might be heading down the same track... So maybe make an order or two? Just in case! n_n Why not have a look at some Essies on NJ? Or some OPIs?

OPI Blooming 2009

These three beauties were only released in the US, I am so grateful for my friends that help me get these n_n ♥ Their names are on the photo's but I will list them too, to help when people search:

• Fuchsia Fling SR AA7 - a fuchsia jelly!
• The Violet-ter, The better SR AA5 - a warm mauve with very faint shimmer
• I'm Ok, You're Bouquet SR AA6 - a light bubblegum pink

They all apply really nicely, the formula is perfect on them. I am waiting to try Fuchsia Fling and Bouquet when I have my real nails back as the blue glitter in my acrylics interferes.

OPI Suzi & The Lifeguard

Hello! Hope your day is going fine :D

I recently just got Suzi & The Lifeguard and had to try it out ASAP! Although I am a little disappointed... I'm not too sure why though, I liked it on and I love it in these photos... I think just comparing it to everything else in the order made it seem not so great.

It makes me think of icing. Icing and the strawberry icecream bit in the Neapolitan tub. Mmm....

Ok this is three coats. It was a little runny, nothing too bad though. It is a frosted polish.  

I also have a couple of the 90210's to show you, a couple of essie's (my essie stash is now upto 4! haha) and I have some exciting polishes on the way n_n

Essie Flawless

Here is Essie's Flawless. More 'bubblegummy' than I thought it was. Definitely a pink I can't wear... Or is it more that I don't want to wear hehe

This is three coats. With a name like Flawless, you would expect to at least some degree that it would be in fact flawless. However, this is not the case. It was very runny and thick at the same time and was hard to apply it evenly. I had to use thick coats so it would be opaque. 

I think the colour is nice, just not for me.
