Devotion & Shimmer

Holy cow its past 2PM and I haven't even made a post yet! D:

Well here you go :D A really awesome combination that looks a million times better in real life. Why is this? Because the camera picks up the glare from Devotion more strongly than it should. In real life it is less harsh :)

For the base I used two coats of Devotion. A lovely lovely silver chrome! Then I used one coat of DS Shimmer. Which added a nice holographic effect to the silver chrome.

If you own these two colours, I strongly recommend that you try this combo :D

Essie Jazz

And here is todays Nail Of The Day, Essie's Jazz. 

Jazz is discontinued but I brought it off an etailer, so its not really HTF yet :D

This was three coats. It applied really nicely which surprised me, as all the Essies I have tried have been crap. Although I haven't tried many... 

I really like Jazz as it suits my olive skintone nicely. I am not that excited about it as I was over Let Them Eat Rice Cake, but it is a very 'appropriate' shade. 

I tried some marbling with Jazz as the base... didn't turn out too well D: I will try again tomorrow though!

Oh, no top-coat by the way :)

China Glaze Lavender Lingo

Here is another that I did for the Summer in Feb theme :D

I love this one! Because it looks like I have lace on my nails if you don't look up close ;)

I used four coats of Lavender Lingo and used Konads white for the design.

This design was surprisingly easy to do although it is two stamps per nail which takes up a lot of time.

Comparison - Zoya Whitney + Morgan

Sorry for the weird angle, but it is necessary for these two colours as the camera can't pick up their shades properly :)

Two coats of each, Whitney is on the pointer and ring finger while Morgan is on the middle and pinky.

As you can see Whitney is more blue toned as to Morgan which is more red toned. Morgan is also jelly-ish unlike Whitney who is completely opaque.

Comparisons - Zoya Purity + Snow White

Snow White is on pointer and ring and Purity is on the middle and pinky :D

This is three coats of each.

Hardly any difference at all. But Snow White is the tiniest bit softer, Purity is more stark. 

OPI Bleu-Blue

And here is Bleu-Blue!

A very odd name... but a pretty pastel blue, none the less :)

This is four coats, like French Riviera. This one applies a little streaky so I'm thinking it may need a ridgefiller for the base as that would help the colour to 'stick'.

I wonder if the Breathe Life Lung Cancer polish that OPI is bringing out will be along the same colour lines as Bleu-Blue? It looks a very unique polish from the promo picks... but we will just have to wait and see :D
