Essie Angora Cardi

Today I have one of my Mum's polishes to show you, Essie's Angora Cardi. Now my Mum is an avid knitter, so she owns this one partly for the name, but all in all it's a great shade too.

The formula isn't bad. Not sheer or streaky, it feels a little bit thin but it's ok.

Angora Cardi was released in 2009, or earlier this year if you're in New Zealand. Why do we have to be so behind? We've only just recently gotten 2010's fall collection in store.

Australis Blue Tiger and NFUOh 053

Here is my original photo and post of Blue Tiger if you are interested, http://nailjuice.blogspot.com/search/label/Australis.

For this manicure I used two coats of Blue Tiger (I forgot how awesomely pigmented this one is) followed by two coats of NFUOh 053. They're like a match made in heaven!

These next few weeks I'm going to be focusing on my NFUOh polishes and trying different combos with them. They always wear so well, I don't like removing them before I have to. Flakies tend to stick to your nail.

These angles seemed to be the only way to show accurate colourings in this crappy weather today. It's really nice to see variations of green, blue, orange, gold and purple through out the day.

New Line of Polishes: Bootie Babe!

I just received an email about a new line of polishes from BB Cosmetics called Bootie Babe!

Yes, the bottle shape is a little different to what we are used to, but check out those colours! Seriously, when I have a house, each room is going to be one of these shades. I love colour.

They ship anywhere in the world, here is their website:

Opal Manicure

Today I have to show you what I call an Opal manicure! I really love how opals shine, it's crazy, just like flakies. I've been looking at my nails all day. People in my class must think I am an absolute nutter.

For this manicure I used alternating coats of OPI Time-less is More and NFUOh 050. This manicure is quite chunky, (3 coats of 050 and two of time-less) but doesn't it look so dainty and feminine?

Of course when using a flakie and jelly like this, you can bling it out as much as you like or keep it on the more subtle side of things.

This is the first time that NFUOh's 050 purple tint has actually had some effect on another colour. It gave Time-less a slight blue-pink tone. I'm just so happy with how it turned out.

I'm going to try a few variations of this Opal manicure this week, i'll let you know how it goes!
