Rockstar Franken - The Ballad of Gay Tony

I have been wanting to make a franken like this for the longest time! My boyfriend and I have been playing GTA: Episodes from Liberty City. We've finished The Ballad of Gay Tony and are now onto The Lost and Damned (franken coming up soon for that one too!). Grand Theft Auto has to be one of my most favourite games of all time, even if all I do is drive a bus around.

Gay Tony is all about the night life! He owns several night clubs in Liberty City.

Yusuf probably needs his own polish made! He loves everything to be in gold

Mori is just as enthusiastic as his brother Brucie, if not more!

I hope you enjoyed that post! I've got a load stacked up to be posted.

Frankens I've Been Working On

These are some frankens I've been mucking around with recently. I'm so bored at my little apartment. Can't wait to move to somewhere bigger!

Plus I think it'll be with my sister, who is also a bit of a nail polish fanatic. You wouldn't believe the amount of gold she has in her stash! She's sort of kept all the ones me and mum have got rid of over the years...of course we kind of want them back now haha... :(

Just a close-up of the grungy black.
Close-up of the bluey-purple.
Close up of the more holo-y purple.
Now, none of these have names. Yet. Although i'm not really too sure if I love them all that much...

I've used Sinful UFO, Color Club Magic Attraction, Sinful Daddy's Girl, Sinful Nail Junkie, OPI Black Onyx, Australis Blue Tiger, Essie Sexy Divide... that's all I can remember lol.

Just thought I'd show you them :)

A New Franken! Help me name it ;--:?

I'm so excited to go back to my new home. We had to move again because the people who got us in did the dirty on us. Our first rental together too :( Oh well! We found the most perfect apartment and roommate anyway! n_n

So I was craving a peach polish this weekend but being at my parents home, I have no polishes with me... so I had a sparkly pink franken and a bottle of Tangerine Scene.

So many colours were put into this franken I can barely remember half of them :( Sorry guys. It's not too difficult to franken a peach to your likings anyway.

That's what I like about frankening, you make it so it suits you! None of this seeing beautiful photos of it then buying it and finding out it looks like crap on you.

Please help me pick a name? I loved your suggestions last time! The only un-creative name I can suggest is Peach Ball... because you know, summer and all.... Ok, please help me.

Frankens!

I made these last night during an All Blacks game. Dad was yelling and screaming at the TV so I thought I would make up a few shades.

I've been wanting to make a minty green for a long time now but just haven't had the resources.

I was lusting after the Chanel, Jade. So I tried to make it similar. Who knows if I even remotely close! It involved OPI Hey Get In Lime, OPI Sea Ya Later Sailor, a random dollar store pale green and Bloom Alessandra.

The second franken was really just a mix of everything, I wasn't really aiming for anything :D A mix of that and a mix of this!

The third one I love. The shimmer is just incredible.

Tell me what you think of them!

Names I picked from your lovely suggestions:
1 - Nice to Mint You!
2 - Dark Side Of The Moon
3 - Royal Tease

Thanks so much for the great input n_nb

NJ's Chifie

Here was another one of my frankens, Chifie.

My goal is to get my nails looking like that again, I really love that length and shape.

So for this polish I mixed:
Zoya Miley
Zoya Gaia
OPI DS Shimmer
and hey presto!

I really quite like how it has gold shimmer as well as holographic pieces.

NJ's Dally

The news made me feel sick tonight. Some stupid.... *refrains from swearing*, people, hacked off some kittens back paws. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT?!! Seriously, there are some messed up people. Now the kittens have to have their back legs amputated :'( It makes me happy knowing that my cats have never had to experience any sort of cruelty (well maybe having to wait 5 minutes for some cat food).

Please donate to any animal helping associations. They don't deserve to be treated badly!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Could you believe that this used to be OPI's Time-less Is More?
This is three coats of Dally. Dally is made up of:
  • OPI Time-less Is More
  • OPI DS Shimmer
  • Essie Mesmerize
I think together they made a really beautiful shade. Mum loved it too, so I tried frankening another but a little different... No holo sparkles and add a wee bit of Misa's Pour Me Something Tall And Strong.
I love this and can't wait to show you the res of NJ's Summer/Springs!
NJ Chicklet!
Weehee! My first franken, Chicklet.
I am so happy with how this turned out. I really want a baby chicken yellow... so I bribed my sister with Done Out In Deco for her bottle of The "It" Color, she happily accepted as she has never worn the yellow. I used this yellow before for the Loco Rocos n_n
This is three coats of Chicklet over a ridge filler as it was quite streaky and a little jelly-ish.
Here's what I used:
OPI The "It" Color
Zoya Gaia
Zoya Snow White
Mode Top Coat
So obviously the yellow OPI was the base colour, and I poured out the polish I didn't want into an empty beer bottle. Looks so cool dripping down the sides...I then poured in about 1/5th of Gaia (a sheerish white with gold shimmer) mixed it all up. This was nice as it gave the yellow some gold shimmer, but did nothing colour-wise.
Then I poured out some polish and added the clear topcoat to make it a little jelly-ish. Mixed it all up, then poured some more out to add Snow White, an opaque white creme to get the shade of yellow I wanted.
And repeat that about 100 times until you get the shade you are after :D I know there are other methods... Which I will have to try, also some eyeshadow pigments like Nixxy has recently done n_n
In Glassons today, the girl serving me was like "OMG YOU HAVE YELLOW NAILS! Where'd you get that from?" Me: "Oh I mixed it last night n_n" Her: "Wow that is so cool!" *runs off to tell the other worker* Lol it was nice to have it complimented on by a complete stranger :)
What do you think? I made it to match the little chicken/ducks on my dress n_n
