L.A. Disco Can U Dig It?

I recently discovered these polishes at the wonderful Dress Smart in Onehunga. They were pretty cheap too, only $7! They have OPI polishes too but only a lot of sparkly poo coloured ones. Hmm I wonder why no one buys those shades...

Any who, this little beauty is called Can U Dig It? I don't really care much for the name, but I adore the colour! (Still pining over that OPI Shrek colour!). I wore it on my toes first and wore it for weeks. I couldn't get enough of it!

You only need two coats of Can U Dig It? The formula is quite good, a nice thickness and opacity to it. Quite fast drying too as I put it on my toes again the other day, then got distracted and forgot to apply top coat. It dried just fine, maybe not as shiny, but pretty well.

I think the colour of Can U Dig It is a little more vivid than what my photos show.

It also says it glows in black light, I haven't tested that but it sure would be cool to see!

Orly Meet Me Under The Mistletoe & On The List

How's it going? I went into town today and can't resist walking into Farmers and checking out their ever-expanding nail polish collections. Today they had the Orly Christmas shades, the white, green and red that come with a little red purse, and some minis.

The only minis that excited me were these two, Meet Me Under The Mistletoe and On The List.

I don't think On The List is actually a part of this collection, but it sure fits doesn't it?

I will be posting swatches of these two hopefully this weekend if I'm not still settling into the new place, but for now here are some pretty pictures!

Speaking of On The List, which polishes are you wishing that Santa will bring you?
For me.... I think mainly is OPI Who The Shrek Are You?, Isn't That Precious and It's a Girl!

Job Interviews - What To Wear?

What should we wear on our nails for a job interview? I may or may not have one coming up shortly, but I can't quite make up my mind on what is suitable.

Do we go for the original red

Do we go for the classic sheer pinks?

Do we go for something a little bit different?

Do we try something bright

Do we go for something bold?

Or do we simply just go for a nude?

For the job I may or may not be having the interview for, we aren't allowed to know any information about the company or who the company is. So it's a little bit tricky to know how to dress.

What do you think? What do you think is most appropriate? Is there a colour you always turn to for these sort of situations?

Nail Juice in November

This November at Nail Juice we will be having a few competitions. Some will be open to everyone and some exclusive to New Zealand.

First of all I just want to tell you some fantastic news, I have finally found an apartment to move in and it has a massive balcony and big windows everywhere! So that means I should have a lot of sun to play around with this Summer. My current balcony is less than a metre wide so I'm pretty happy with this move.

Back to what I am supposed to be telling you about, the prizes. I have a few nail art books to giveaway, a mini Color Club Maintenance set, some nail art goodies and of course some pretty polishes!

HOW TO WIN:
There will be a new competition each week of November, so 3 in total.

I will post a series of photos of different polishes and you have to guess the correct polishes.  I will post hints each day until a winner prevails :D

There will also be spot prizes for international and national readers. More info will be given when the actual contest is posted! :) I hope you guys enjoy this, I am trying to find some special polishes for the prizes.
