Zoya Angel

Angel was one I had never been interested in before, until I saw it in real life. I really adored Angel, but it was just missing something for me to love it...

Angel is a baby pink frost. A little darker than OPI Suzi & The Lifeguard though.

Just two coats here. Formulas amazing and everything. I think maybe it was the frosty finish that put me off? Anyway she has found a new home :)

Angel is a part of Zoya's main line.

What do you think of Angel and 'Frosts'?

OPI Play 'Till Midnight

This was the other amazing navy my partner bought me for one Christmas, Play 'Till Midnight.

Play Till Midnight came out in the 'Holiday in Toyland' collection for Christmas 2008. Far out that went past quickly.

Now Play Till Midnight doesn't look as amazing inside as it does outside. It looks like a dulled/greyed navy indoors or with no sunlight. But outside in the sun really brings out that blue and purple shimmer.

Truly amazing. So amazing that every female in my family has a bottle!

I remember I went through a phase where every time I wore white - this was my manicure.

Play Till Midnight's formula is perfection, wouldn't change anything about it. Wearing two coats here.

OPI Sugar Cookie Pink

I think Sugar Cookie Pink was my favourite out of the Sweet Pink collection. Especially with such a cute name.

Sugar Cookie Pink is really different. It's like its highly pigmented and super sheer at the same time! Confusing aren't I?

I mean with a regular sheer polish you eventually get some sort of build-up but with Sugar Cookie Pink you only build up the pinkness, not the coverage. I am wearing four coats here.

It looks really pretty as just one or two coats as well. It gives your nails a healthy but cute glow to it.

Sugar Cookie Pink's formula was a little bit different, it went on a little bit thick but you really only need thin coats as you aren't going to get anymore coverage than the first coat. Plus Sugar Cookie is super glossy. Which I really liked!

I can tell I'll be wearing this one a lot :D

My Stash Update!

Far out I only took these photos not too long ago and its already out of date >_<

Anywho! This is my 'sort of current stash', and I am so excited because I just ordered a polish stand! I don't think all will fit though...

All of the following photos are labeled and I aplogise if they are spelt wrong/hard to read :)

What do you think?

Just realised- OMG my flakie NFU-Ohs are not here! As well as MAC Light Affair... I will have to do a catch-up post lol.

OPI Pink Cupcake

Now Pink Cupcake is a lot more exciting!

Pink Cupcake is 'gummy' looking pink with pink and blue shimmer. I really love it. Pink Cupcake reminds me of buying gummy lollies after school.

I used just two coats here. You get a nice coverage with Pink Cupcake.

The formula was superb. Nice thickness too it, not runny at all.

What do you think of this one?

OPI Pink a Peach

Pink a Peach was from OPI's Sweet Pink collection released in Asia. I was super excited to get these but this one really underwelmed me.

Pink a Peach looks like a frosty grandma colour to me, maybe it's just my skintone with it?

Two coats used here. The formula was a little thick but it was ok to use, just meant thicker coats.

To me it looks like a peachier version of OPI's Cherry Blossom. Pink a Peach has that same silver shimmer and microshimmer as Cherry Blossom.

What do you think?

MAC Blissed Out

I picked up Blissed Out from MAC's collection Warm & Cozy recently thinking it was going to be a pretty neutral peach or peachy nude.

I had no idea it was going to give me mannequin hands! Although it does give my nails that look, I quite like it for the days when I just don't want my nails to be flashy or stand-out.

I used three coats here to get it to be completely opaque. The formula was a little thickish but I thought that was good as it kept Blissed Out from being sheer. You could easily build the colour up.

The MAC girl who usually helps me was wearing it and it looked like a lovely peach on her, she was darker skinned than me though.

What do you think about this look?

OPI Merry Midnight

I was really unsure of whether to go for Merry Midnight when it first came out. Then to mum and mines surprise, a store had just put the Holiday Wishes display out!

It was so good to see them in real life. As soon as I saw Merry Midnight in the bottle I knew I had to have it. I mean, it's one of OPIs first flakies!

Ok so Merry Midnight was released in the collection 'Holiday Wishes' for Christmas 2009. (Oh my gosh I'm so excited for what they will bring us this year!)

Merry Midnight has an eggplant base to it with heaps of silver micro shimmer, blue glitter and a tonne of flakies!

The flakies aren't quite as visible as an NFUoh is, but hey, at least we know OPI can do it! Maybe they have matte flakies in the making? :D

The formula was alright. It was a little sheer but you really do need that sheerness for flakies to get them to show through and give you depth when adding another coat.

I used two coats here, could have possibly used another but I think it looked ok :)

Did you go for the flakies? If not/did how come?

OPI Ink

When i'm about to do a mani I *always* pick up Ink but never go through with it. I'm not too sure why that happens but this time I thought I would put my curiosity to ease.

Ink is a truly beautiful colour. Why OPI doesn't have more colours/shimmers like this in their main line I will never know.

In my photos here it looks very navy. But I think it is because the sun is picking up all of the blue shimmer Ink has.

I think artificial lighting picks up the more purple side of Ink which is just as stunning as the navy side.

I used just two coats here and got full coverage.

Ink will always be special to me as my partner got it for me one Christmas along with Play Till' Midnight.

~*New Years Eve Mani*~

How did your new years go? For the first time I spent mine with my partner up in the city. We ordered some pizza, watched the fireworks and played on our new computer...

We had it all planned to go out to his friends, as I was heading there he told me change of plans, we are heading home! Whaaaaat... I just did my nails all special... But he did surprise me with a computer. It's pretty good because now I don't have to wait every 2 weeks to go home and swatch/blog!

For my new years mani I wanted someting similar to what I posted a little while ago where I layered differnt polishes and combinations.

For this one I used Color Club Where's The Soiree as my base colour, black. Followed by Color Club Femme Fatale. Just used that a little starting from the cuticle to 3/4's of the way down.

Then I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps, Nfu-Oh 53, Sinful Nail Junkie all used in the same way.

So you have pretty much every finish in there, glitter, shimmer, flakies. A party on every nail. I really loved this manicure as every nail was a bit different than the other. I couldn't stop staring.

I am obsessed with flakies at the moment. I can't stop wearing them! I was thinking of ordering Nfu-Oh 40, 44, 50, 51, 52, 53(gave mine to mum), 54 and 56. What do you think?

Please check out the close-up shot!

MAC Eyeshadows: Swatchy, Swatchy!

Mum and I were having a play around with our eye shadows this weekend. So as we were covering our arms in colourful stripes, I thought i'd take a few photos :D

I'm really sorry if a couple are hard to see. Might have to enlarge the photos. Also, the purple above DreamMaker is just Parfait Armor.

I think Aqua is my favourite out of all. But then again I do really love using DreamMaker, Off The Page and Trax.

The first eye swatch is Bobbi Brown Smoke with MAC Gilt By Association on top. I really liked this look and will be wearing it tomorrow :D I apologise for the harsh lighting, the sun was really quite bright that day.

Enjoy!
