Zoya Godiva Pixie Dust

Today I have Zoya's Godiva to show you! I really love this one for when I need a mani to last  good few days and to show barely any wear. It doesn't look very sparkly here, but it is in real life! I love how I can forget I'm wearing it, yet get enjoyment from wearing it.

Godiva is a part of Zoya's Pixie Dust range. They're much like the Liquid Sands and textured polishes other companies are releasing. Two coats are worn in these pictures.

Nail Art: Retro Flowers!

I was in a bout of procrastination as well as feeling the need to try some untrieds. All three used in this mani were untrieds! Zoya Sooki, Zoya Arizona and Sephora by OPI Hi-def.
Firstly you need to paint down your base colour, I used Hi-def for this. Then I used Sooki with my dotting tool to create the outline of petals around the nails. Lastly I used Arizona for the centre of the flowers. I really loved how all of these colours looks so well together. Like they're all from the same family tree!

piCture pOlish Marine Comparisons: Essie, Zoya

This is a comparison post for piCture pOlish Marine. Similar polishes shown here are Where's My Chauffeur, Naughty Nautical, and Wednesday.
Pictured above is two coats each of Zoya Wednesday, Essie Where's My Chauffeur, Essie Naughty Nautical, and piCture pOlish Marine.

Marine is a lot bluer than Nautical and Wednesday, where as Chauffeur is in the same line of teal but a few shades lighter. Nautical also has a faint shimmer. Wednesday is a lot dustier looking than the other shades.

piCture pOlish Beige Comparisons: O.P.I, Zoya

This is a comparison or versus post for piCture pOlish Beige. These are the colours I had closest to Beige; Did You Ear About Van Gogh, Samoan Sand, and Avery.
Pictured above is OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh, OPI Samoan SandZoya Avery and piCture pOlish Beige.
So as we can see, Beige is lighter than each of these shades; which makes it look slightly more chalky than the softer shades Samoan Sand and Avery. In comparison to Beige, Van Gogh is more green-toned while still holding the more chalky like look as Beige. Samoan sand is more red-toned and is much sheerer. Avery has more yellow in it, and in the midst of not quite chalky looking but not sheer either.

Which is your favourite? Or do you have a polish that is similar to Beige?

Zoya Edyta

How would you pronounce Edyta? Editor? Eddie-tah? Eh-dye-ta? Who knows, but i'm rolling with Editor.

Now our friend Edyta is a little bit of a shape shifter. She turns from olive to more grey to a rainforest green! Pretty neat I think!

Edyta has Zoya's typical formula. I'd call their's frothy too, like some shimmery/frost Color Clubs. Quite soft and easy to manouver but a little thick. Only need two coats to be completey opaque.

Outside or in direct sunlight you get the more silvery side of Edyta.

But when you are indoors or a poorly lit space, you get to see the golden, warm side of Edyta. It's kind of crazy how a nail polish can change so much.

If any New Zealanders are interested in buying Zoya Edyta in New Zealand, here is the link to the official distributor's store:

QTICA Nail Growth Stimulator Trial

Thanks to being born around this time of year has allowed me to be able to get my hands on another bottle of Qtica's Nail Growth Stimulator as it is on the pricey side. (Old photo shown, my goal is to get my nails back to that length.)

Why I am trying it again:
Qtica guarantees that it will give you a quarter of an inch (0.635 centimetres) growth in 14 days. I know I've tried it before and didn't get the amount of growth promised, but my lifestyle is quite different from back then so I want to give it another try.

The price and where to buy:
It is a lot easier to find (and cheaper!) in the states, the Art Of Beauty site sells it for $20US, I think I have seen it around for $8-$15 on other places.

In New Zealand the only place I know of to buy it is from Sudo-Mistair. It is expensive though at $61.00 a pop. If you have a salon account though, it goes down to $38.12. Still quite pricey, maybe get it as a treat if you have been super good :)

What I will be doing over the next 14 days:
I will be documenting my progress with a photo each day and I will make a .gif so I can have an animation to show you of the growth within the next 14 days. I will also be continuing the treatment and documentation for one month.

Once my nails are at a likable length, I don't think I will continue on with this product as it is too pricey to keep as a main treatment. I will then carry on using Zoya Anchor as my main base/treatment as that is much cheaper at $14.38 (salon price).

Well I guess I will be seeing you in 14 days, if not before then :)

Zoya Morgan ♥

Love at first... swatch.

Morgan is one of my all time favourites, I could wear this one if I was stuck on an abandoned island for six years.

This is just two coats. Morgan has a jelly like complex, you can see my tips vaguely at two and you can build the colour up so tips no more. This is with no topcoat, Morgan really is this shiny alone :D

Why have I left you alone for so long.... *pats Morgan*

Oh, does anyone know what collection Morgan is from?

You also get a few extra pics of her, because I think she deserves them n_n

ZOYA Gaia

Ahhh Gaia, one of my first Zoya's.

I was very impressed when I first got it because I was in love with whites with gold shimmers. Those were the days, so uneducated on all the other fantastic colours...

Gaia is from Zoya's Chit Chat collection, named after bloggers :D Can't say I'm familiar with any of them.... I'm sure others could name the blogs off the top of their heads :)

This is three coats of Gaia. A beauty to apply, though it was a little streaky on coat two. Also on coat two, Gaia makes your tips look like they are the *perfect* white. Sadly your tips begin to disappear on three, but the colour becomes more opaque. Whatever you suits you :)

I let Gaia have two photos, just to show you closer up of the golden shimmer found throughout the Chit Chat collection.

Also I have had my first appointment booked for a manicure! Heeeee! I am really excited :D

Ooops, I should have been more clear lol, I meant that someone had booked to have a manicure from me :) I guess that statement could mean either way.

I had my first manicure about six months ago, I was terrified of how short she had made my nails. But my nails were short any way (orange nails picture) lol even shorter than that.

I guess it was just horrifying for all my hard work getting them there was just filed off. I think most of us can do better manicures than the manicurists them selves :D

ZOYA Bailey + Comparison

Today I felt like something sweet, so I chose the new arrival, Bailey.

Bailey is very similar to Chanel's Pink Satin and OPI's Starbright Sparkles II. Similar in the way of shimmer, colour, sheerness and glitter. I'd say all three would be cousins, close but not close enough.

I applied Bailey in a rush, so excuse the messy mani n_n; Bailey applied a little runnier than Zoya's usually do, maybe because it is a sheer... I used four coats here because my horrible yellow stained nails looked horrendously ew. So I tried to build the pink up. I must try whitening my nails shortly.

I can't make my mind up about Bailey, if it wasn't sheer I would love it so much, I hate seeing my tips through my colour at this length. Maybe five or six coats are needed, but I don't have the patience for that hoohaa :D

I compared Bailey to Starbright (three coats, so not really fair). Starbright is on my thumb and you can see the similarities closer in the comparison pic.

Zoya Cassi

Here is Zoya's Cassi.
Cassi is from Zoya's collection Twist released early last year. It was released along with Moxie, Harley, Jo, Malia and Barbie. I quite like Cassi.

The colour is a real spring shade I think.
The formula was typical Zoya formula, easy to control and fairly smooth but a tiny tiny bit thick.

Zoya Angel

Angel was one I had never been interested in before, until I saw it in real life. I really adored Angel, but it was just missing something for me to love it...

Angel is a baby pink frost. A little darker than OPI Suzi & The Lifeguard though.

Just two coats here. Formulas amazing and everything. I think maybe it was the frosty finish that put me off? Anyway she has found a new home :)

Angel is a part of Zoya's main line.

What do you think of Angel and 'Frosts'?

Zoya Jaime

Goodness knows how long I've wanted to try this. Finally ordered it with the Suedes and I am very disappointed.

I think the colour of Jaime is pretty, just not with my skin tone. It makes my hands look really red and darker.

The formula was OK. Needed 3 coats to be completely opaque and didn't look right sheer as it was streaky and uneven.

Maybe Zoya's Get Even would help? Hmm...

Zoya Malia

I wasn't too fussed on Malia when it was first released, but when I was setting it up at the Beauty Expo it just looked really amazing. I know it has no shimmers or glimmers but cremes can look fantastic too :D

All it takes for Malia to be opaque is two coats.

I much prefer Malia over OPI Do You Lilac It or OPI Done Out In Deco. I think Malia is the best shade out of those to suit my skin.

Zoya Suvi

Another gem from March :D

This is three coats of Zoya's Suvi. A beautiful rain forest green.

It looks really nice but I don't find my self going for the darker greens just yet.
