NJ's Dally

The news made me feel sick tonight. Some stupid.... *refrains from swearing*, people, hacked off some kittens back paws. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT?!! Seriously, there are some messed up people. Now the kittens have to have their back legs amputated :'( It makes me happy knowing that my cats have never had to experience any sort of cruelty (well maybe having to wait 5 minutes for some cat food).

Please donate to any animal helping associations. They don't deserve to be treated badly!

Could you believe that this used to be OPI's Time-less Is More?

This is three coats of Dally. Dally is made up of:
  • OPI Time-less Is More
  • OPI DS Shimmer
  • Essie Mesmerize
I think together they made a really beautiful shade. Mum loved it too, so I tried frankening another but a little different... No holo sparkles and add a wee bit of Misa's Pour Me Something Tall And Strong.

I love this and can't wait to show you the res of NJ's Summer/Springs!

Revisited: Revvvolution

Ok, third time around, I think my photos are finally good enough! :D

This was two coats of Color Club's Revvvolution. Released recently, it is available from H2T and 8ty8 for $2.50US. Cheap as chips. Actually, those would be quite expensive chips haha.

Mum advised me to hold my hand down a bit to show the holographic Revvv has, the direct sun sorta washes it out.

BECOMING A NAIL TECHNICIAN:
Today I had to do a Pedicure in the morning and a Manicure in the afternoon. My boyfriend was the client for both sessions.

He wanted me to paint his toes, I asked him about ten times to make sure that he was sure. He had chosen Claire's Rocker Blues. Then when I had to do a manicure, he wanted the 'Tool' mani... but his nails were a little too short to fit both designs (nail biter) so we altered it a bit.

He chose Devotion as the base colour, Konad's black and blue for the swooshy design. It looked really cool, so I'm going to use it as one of my nail art designs for May Music Month :D (He was a little upset that I hadn't mentioned his first manicure and pedicure :P)

Anyway, enjoy Revvvolution!

China Glaze Romantique 2009

Woohoo! I managed to swatch a full collection n_nb This collection happened to be China Glaze's Romantique, released at the beginning of this year. Mum was kind enough to let me swatch hers (she ordered all of them lol!).

Each photo here was one coat, no top coat, no basecoat. There were none that I had a problem with, the formula was even throughout the collection. I also did no clean up, so they are extremely easy to use :D

Enjoy! And don't forget to enlarge!

Music Month Update: It has been pushed back a week due to not enough time to create 5 manicures with nail art.

OPI Colección de España 2009

Wee! I'm always excited when these promo pics come out!

I really like most of these shades, apart from the nude looking one... it doesn't really fit with the other rich colours does it? Any collection with pinks and purples have my heart! I am looking forward to the greeny one too, wonder how similar it will be to their winter one?

This collection was obviously inspired by Spain.

Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees
, Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow, Manicurist Of Seville (might have to get that one just for the name hehe), Pamplona Purple, Conquistadorable Color (what a name!), Bullish On OPI.

Barefoot In Barcelona
, Can You Tapas This?, Give Me Moor! (reminds me of the Mocona ads), Pink Flamenco, No Spain No Gain, Ate Berries In The Canaries.

Thanks to pssion.se for the images!

China Glaze Paper Chasing

Oh how I miss that beautiful sunlight.... lets hope it comes tomorrow!

I didn't particularly love this one, but I didn't hate it. I really like that China Glaze is coming out with these awesome under-supplied colours.

I used two coats here. It was much sheerer than the other Kicks I had used. Custom Kicks is still coming!

Paper Chasing was also a little runnier, not thick like Sky High Tops or Its Poppin'.

Mum ordered this one and she loves it to pieces... so Paper Chasing is lovable :D

China Glaze Sky High Tops

Man I cannot wait for that sleep-in tomorrow!

Here is a *fantastic* blue, Sky High Tops.

I used two coats here. Application was great, easy and smooth. I had no clean up to do. I am loving China Glaze's formula on these Kicks.

Just looking at it now, it sort of reminds me of Color Club's Pure Energy. But I know for a fact it isn't as bright, or neon as Pure Energy. Pure Energy also has a bit of green frost... it should be floating around here somewhere on NJ :D

Just a heads up on the May Music Month comp:
  • There will be a different nail art each day with a lyric from a Tool song, and the first poster to tell me what song it's from wins a prize! :D
  • I will be doing this every weekday for two weeks.
  • Also, I would like you to send me in nail art manicure that you have made. Preferably music inspired, but if it looks cool, send it in! You could win the big prize!
