China Glaze Fortune Teller

I wish this was a main line colour. Its one of those shades where you just want to put it on every time you see it!

Now I didn't use a topcoat here so it looks bumpy from the glitters. Don't worry it doesn't take much topcoat to even it out :D

Fortune Teller was released for Halloween in a certain store in the states. Why companies continue to do this really annoys me. Luckily I have a wonderful friend in the states :) I'm thinking i'm going to save up for a weekend trip to the USA... Although I wouldn't know where anything is haha.

Back to Fortune Teller. The first coat is sort of sheer but the second really completes it. A third coat is only needed if you want more depth of glitter. But i'm not sure, the black is pretty overpowering so I don't think you'd get that much as if you were a flakie polish.

Hmm, I wonder if China Glaze will bring it out again this year?

Zoya Hot Lips : Starlet

Starlet, what a gorgeous colour.

Only mum and I can't get it to work. It comes out alright but it is quite hard to spread it around evenly. Heating it in your hands first helps a little but you still get lines on your lips or around your lips where Starlet has been pushed and gathered.

When wearing such a strong/noticeable colour like Starlet you kind of don't want it to be gathering in places.


We'll see how this one goes.

Favourites of 2009: Part One

Welcome to part one of 2009 Faves!

This is a mini series on some colours that I really loved from this year. It will have several parts to it :)





First up~!






















Zoya Dovima - a matte black with little shimmers to keep it from being flat.






















MAC Baby Goth Girl - Even though the shimmer and flakies aren't always that visible, I really like dark colours with interesting shimmers.






















OPI DS Mystery - Another shade that is at it's best in full sun. I really love the deeeeep purple base with gold glitter. Really different.






















OPI Russian Navy Suede - I think it was the best suede shade. It glows something different to the others :)






















Chanel Jade - Last but not least, Jade. I love Jade and would never ever get rid of it. The formula and everything is just perfect. I only wear this when my nails are in *perfect* condition lol.
