I would like to tell you lovely readers of Nail Juice that next weekend I will be working with Zoya for a couple of days!

The best part... well not the best part, the whole thing is the best part, ok a positive part is that the pay is in products! So you can be sure to see a few newbies soon :D

To celebrate I will be posting a heck of a lot of Zoyas and Hot Lips.

Isn't it exciting?! >_<

Qtica Nail Growth Stimulator : Day 18

Ok so today is day 18, shall we have a squiz at what Qtica has done for my beaten up nails?

As most of you know on my nail course I had about 6 sets of acrylics, 5 sets of gels and a couple of silk wraps. That's a lot of my nail that was taken off in such a short time. You can see how thin they are where they are red-er. There is also a lot of splinter hemorrhaging going on there.
Those little brown/black lines are dried blood.

VERDICT: They sure did grow a lot in 18 days, but didn't quite give me the 0.635cms they guaranteed me. I used it everyday as a base coat though, maybe that effected it? Somehow? I don't know.

Qtica Nail Growth Stimulater made my nails very strong which is great, just what I need for these thin softies.

I couldn't wear it two to three days though as it instructed because it kept making my manicures peel off. I then tried my base coat over the top of it and that extended the wear to at least a day.

However my mum did not experience this problem and her manis are lasting 3 days or more... She is using Qtica, Zoya's Anchor, colour and then Poshe for a top coat. Hopefully I will get the Zoya base coat again soon and I will try it with Qtica.

These are how my nails looked on the 7th of July. I was NOT using Qtica Nail Growth Stimulator here.

The first day I used Qtica.

My nails 18 days later from using Qtica:

Skittle Me Happy with Nail Art!

On my travels into the city, my partner wanted to show me a new Japanese food place. So there we went, food was great. This place was also a mall. We came across a nail salon that had like a bargain bin outfront.

Nail art supplies $2.

So I sat on the ground and sifted through everything and came out with these babies. I have been looking for these FOREVER! The only place I could get them was China.

Last night I was really in the mood for some nail art. Perfect chance to try them out.

From pinky to pointer:

Gold Gradient; I used a base of one coat of OPI Starbright Sparkles. I left it for awhile so it was pretty dry and I was scared that the glitter wouldn't stick. I have acres of glitter so I put my finger into the bag of gold and then dabbed it almost the whole way up my nail. Applying more closer to the tip. Then I stuck a few gold hex's along my tip and a few random ones going up my nail.

Nautical; I love love love love love nautical stuff. I am still waiting for Konad to make that nautical plate >_< Blue Moon; For the base I used two coats of Essie's Shelter Island. I applied the little blue circles in sort of a moon shape, but it looked a little too spaced out so I added a couple n top of the gaps.

Pink Triangle; Don't quite know what I was wantng here. I have a feeling I should have done half the nail in the pink circles, but keeping that diagonal line.

Zoya Matte Velvet Limited Edition Collection 2009

I am so excited! Another full collection post, I know theres only three... but its all three :D

I really love that Zoya has made their Matte Velvet collection. They are perfect. No flaws. I believe these are Limited Edition. I think Zoya may even be thinking of releasing some more...?

They are all completely opaque in two coats.

The formula is really really thick but workable. They need to be thick because the matte formula is so quick drying, you'd end up with a massive mess if it was thinned.

On to the pics!

Posh
: This is one lovely red. How many times have I said that? I think that was the first. You should check it out with the top coat further down!

Loredana
: I really love the name of this one. The colour is also just as awesome! The shimmer in Loredana is just out of this world. I wonder why Zoya hasn't incorporated this kind of shimmer into normal polishes? Maybe it doesn't work. I will be wearing this one a lot for sure. The texture just looks amazing.

Dovima
: My favourite. I've been wanting a matte black since the whole matte trend started (again). Zoya came to my rescue. I know a lot of people don't like black nails and associate them with certain groups... but I don't care. I love them to bits.

Here the lovelies are with some top coat!

Nail Art ♥'s

Back sooner than anticipated :)

I thought I would show you some nail art I did a little while ago. The black is a little messy but I love the different coloured hearts.

It took me about an hour to do every finger. Doesn't matter though, I enjoyed wearing it n_n

I went to a MAC counter with this on and the MAC lady loved it and asked where I got it done, she was quite amazed when I said "I did it last night".

This design is one I had made up on a few nails while I was on my nail course. It is quite easy to do, just very time consuming :)
