♥~ NAIL ART DAY ~♥

I love my tutor! A whole day of nail art... wow n_nb

I loved every minute of it. Although I only got two designs done, I am very pleased with them.

This first photo is one that the boyfriend took, he told me they were his favourite designs n_n How sweet.

This is one that my mum wants on her nails. I really like this design, but think I could have done something more on the thumb. I couldn't think what so I left it, didn't let myself have the chance to screw it up lol.
What I used:
  • Revlon navy (can't remember name, dark pleasures collection)
  • China Glaze Awaken for the design
  • Konad plate M71 for the design
  • Silver balls
  • White pearls
  • Silver rhinestones

This is one I have fantasised about creating since I saw it in a magazine, then Brooke tried it and it just amazed me. I love anything nautical, anything sailor. I think I might do this on my nails for when it's time to dress up in my seifuku at the comic/game convention!

What I used:
  • Basic white polish for the base
  • OPI On Collins Ave. for the red
  • Revlon navy (don't know the name, one of the dark pleasures)
  • Red rhinestones
  • Gold balls

OPI Blooming 2009

These three beauties were only released in the US, I am so grateful for my friends that help me get these n_n ♥ Their names are on the photo's but I will list them too, to help when people search:
  • Fuchsia Fling SR AA7 - a fuchsia jelly!
  • The Violet-ter, The better SR AA5 - a warm mauve with very faint shimmer
  • I'm Ok, You're Bouquet SR AA6 - a light bubblegum pink
They all apply really nicely, the formula is perfect on them. I am waiting to try Fuchsia Fling and Bouquet when I have my real nails back as the blue glitter in my acrylics interferes.

Hearts, Hearts and more Hearts!

These are the hearts that I ordered recently... I love them so much! I'm going to be using these a lot tomorrow I think... There is just so many of them! I have already filled up my wheel to the brim with each colour and the pots are still like two thirds full. Ah-mazing.

OPI Greenwich Green NL N02

This one is from the New England collection from 1998! Holy cow thats an old one!

I used just two coats here as it was quite thick like a few older OPI's. I might throw a little thinner in there later.

I did the right thing by Greenwich, I gave it to mum. She loves these olivey/goldy colours. Did you know... that her polish stash is currently bigger than mine XD

Hello Acrylics, Bye Bye Milk

Milk is going bye byes and we are welcoming all forms of nails on Nail Juice. I was a bit overwhelmed with many blogs, so away they went :) Anyone noticed yet that i'm fidgety? Can't leave things alone?

Here are my messy looking acrylics. They don't look their best here as they don't have a top coat on, which really brings out the glitter.

As you can see, two nails have yellowed. The tutor is still trying to figure that one out... it's quite a mystery.

This was my classmates third go, I think they are quite good, but wouldn't want to keep them on for much longer as they look quite strange with polish on.

The glitter used here was one I picked up and split into bags for my classmates. It is a beautiful blue, slightly holo. It looks just amazing with top coat on.

Revisited: Worth The Risque

I am still alive! The Sims 3 was released in NZ today so... :P I've been playing it all evening and was dying to get home today! It's now my sisters turn so I thought I would update NJ n_n

How are you all?! I've missed you so much ♥

Ok so here we are again with Color Club's Worth The Risque. It is slightly denser than China Glaze's OMG and slightly smaller than Sexagon.

This was two coats I believe. Oh how I miss my nails looking like that! I'm almost afraid to take off the acrylics... I don't want to see them all beat up :( My aim is for fantasitc/flawless nails at christmas time. I'm going to gather a few polishes for a present if I achieve this.

Back to Risque, it is so easy to apply unlike the China Glazes. As they tend to pull themselves around, Worth The Risque stays put and goes on smoothly.

Worth The Risque isn't a colour I love, but for some reason I have difficulty trying to give it up. Maybe because it was one of my first Color Clubs?

BECOMING A NAIL TECH:
It's been awhile since I've done one of these eh!

Well Monday morning is all Nail Art for me and one other classmate as we are the only ones who have been attending every day and doing the work. Seriously, why do these people pay all this money and not attend?

I'm looking forward to that as my tutor will be teaching us how to make things out of acrylic, like flowers, candies, bows, things like that n_n

I have all my nail art stuff packed and ready to go! Just need to find some containers for my glitter to go in so I can add powder to it.

Essie Ruby Slippers

Are you getting bored with the bottles? Causes I sure am!

This is Essie's Ruby Slipper. I don't really know to much about this one... I think it was from an Essie holiday set from 2005.

I used three coats here. It was a little sheer at first but builds up quickly :) It applies quite nicely for a glitter too, doesn't pull itself around.

Ruby Slipper has beautiful red, orange and silver glitter in a red base. I much prefer this one than China Glaze's Ruby Pumps, I think just because its a little bit darker, flashes different colours other than red and is more chunky.

I would definitely recommend a top coat over this as it is a little lumpy because the glitter pieces are quite chunky.

It's going for quite a lot on eBay, so make sure you *really* want it and like red before you 'buy it now' :P

Short n' sweet review today as I have to study the human anatomy for a test tomorrow or no nail art for steph :( That would be like cutting off my arms, what good am I without them?! Nail art keeps me happy n_n
